Why we build Gordana

Many curtain shops still work with separate Excel files, handwritten job sheets and calculations done by hand. That takes time and leads to mistakes in quotes and orders. We believed there was a better way: one system that understands the calculations specific to the curtain trade and brings the whole process — from quote to installation planning — together in one place.

So we built Gordana: cloud-based, with an interface in English, Dutch and Turkish (each team member picks their own), and shaped around the way curtain specialists in Belgium and the Netherlands work. It runs in the browser on a laptop, desktop or tablet — in the shop or office, and with a tablet on site at the customer's.

The person behind Gordana

Gordana is built by Melih Ozcan, founder and developer. He writes the software himself and shapes every feature — from fullness calculations to fabric roll management — around the way curtain shops in Belgium and the Netherlands work day to day.

That also means you never deal with an anonymous helpdesk: questions about the software, onboarding or a calculation go straight to him, by WhatsApp or email. He also writes the articles on fullness, fabric usage and pricing on our Dutch-language blog.
